Aaron Finbloom is delightfully hard to pin down. I experience him as a sort of entrepreneur-philosopher-trickster, sitting at this beautiful intersection where a penetrating inquiry into the nature of existence meets an unerring drive to create, to express, to play. His work with The Deep Play Institute and The School of Making Thinking brings artists, scholars, and change-agents together in unexpected and surprising ways. You might describe him as a conversation designer, or a transformational teacher, or an artist of the collective heart.
Whatever language you come up with, suffice to say that Aaron is a really cool, creative, and interesting dude :-) He invites all of us into the question of what might be possible when we engage more deeply, authentically, and creatively with each other. How can we break out of conversational patterns, and through dialogue, how might we start to find new ways of living and being together?
We danced with all of that today, practicing what Aaron preaches by exploring what was happening in our conversation and playing with it in new ways. I hope that you leave today with a sense of that play, with a sense of how else you might start to do things differently the next time you hop on a zoom call, ring up your mom, or connect with a loved one, friend, or stranger.
